Delete Temporary Internet Files

If you are stuck in a log-in loop while trying to log into WebTycho, or have trouble submitting conference notes then clearing Temp files may solve the problem. It is a good idea to clear your Temp Folder periodically to avoid these troubles.

With Internet Explorer

With Firefox

With Microsoft Windows (Method 1)

  1. Click the Start button on the task bar at the bottom of your computer screen.
  2. Click Search.
  3. Click Files or Folders.
  4. Search on your hard drive (local drive).
  5. In the Search for files or folders named box, type in *.tmp
  6. Delete any files that appear with the *.tmp extension.
  7. Close all windows.
  8. Shut off the computer for 15-20 seconds to clear RAM and then turn it back on.

With Microsoft Windows (Method 2)

  1. Right click on the Start button in the task bar at the bottom of your computer screen.
  2. Select Explore.
  3. Click on the Windows (or WinNT) folder.
  4. Click on the Temp folder.
  5. Click on the Type column button to sort the files by type.
  6. Select all files with a .tmp extension.
  7. Press Delete on the keyboard.
  8. Close window.
